Torunn Myklebust grew up on Barmen — a small island at the edge of Norway. Thirty inhabitants. Farmers, sheep, three ferries to reach the closest airport. Gråstein at the shore, wind against the farmhouse walls.
She trained in Copenhagen. Then Alexander McQueen. Then Givenchy, head of fabrics and print. She designed in the atelier with her team, and traveled to Como ahead of the shows to oversee the printing.
Then she chose to make her own work. Chloé, Jean Paul Gaultier, Loewe, Totême.
Through NMM, the work continues. Every Myklé scarf begins by hand — drawn, painted, refined in the studio.
The training. The heritage. The hand.
